Vibration mechanics and modelling

In order to gain a better understanding of how its instruments work, and to ensure the proper conservation of the works that are kept in playing condition, the Museum uses techniques for analysing materials and structures (vibration mechanics, musical acoustics), three-dimensional imaging (photogrammetry, X-ray tomography) and modelling (structural calculations, digitisation of sound spaces).
