Julie TOUPANCE
I contribute to teaching and training activities in a variety of contexts:
Trained in photography at ENS Louis-Lumière and in museology at the École du Louvre, I have developed a practice specializing in scientific and documentary imaging applied to cultural heritage.
Since December 2024, I have been working as a Photographer specializing in scientific and documentary imaging within the Conservation and Restoration Laboratory of the Musée de la Musique. I design and carry out imaging campaigns for the study and documentation of the collections, with a particular focus on technical photography and 3D digitization. I hold a CAMARI certification, authorizing me to operate industrial radiography equipment for X-ray examinations.
Since May 2026, I have been a member of the CAIRN – Scientific Imaging Applied to Cultural Heritage working group and am responsible for organizing the CAIRN 2026 meeting, bringing together photographers, researchers, and cultural heritage professionals working in this field.
My photographs have contributed to the following publications. I am not the author of these publications, except where explicitly indicated.
